| Newly opened in April 2002 by Pat and Nigel, Lime Leaf is fast becoming a very popular dining venue in Wallington. The restaurant has a warm and inviting feel with bright yellow walls and rich burgundy fabrics. Pat, originally from Thailand, has worked in many restaurants all over Asia and the extensive menu reflects this with dishes from Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Burma, Singapore, Japan, Cambodia and, of course, Thailand. The Thai chef prepares all dishes to order using only the fffreshest ingredients and no MSG. |

| Rice is the main staple of Thai people. Steamed or boiled rice it is the elemental plate of the meal and will be eaten with several dishes. Thai cuisine combines vegetable, fish, and other meat cooked with many kinds of spices such as garlic, chili, lemongrass, coconut milk, tamarind, ginger, coriander, basil, and peanuts. The taste of Thai food is usually hot and spicy. The most famous Thai dishes are Tom Yum Kung, the spicy soup with shrimp and Pad -Thai, noodle fried with meat and vegetable. |
