| An intriguing mix of cuisines is what you will find at Bar 196. The owner, Hassan, who has been a chef for 25 years, has introduced a range of dishes from Morocco, Egypt and Lebanon complemented by Mediterranean dishes – all freshly cooked and presented by Italian chef, Francesco. Choose from pastas, pizzas, meat and fish dishes and specialities such as Moroccan Cous Cous, Egyptian Bamia or Lebanese Loubieh. The menu changes every three months and at weekends there is a specials board. |

Cuisine |
|
| African |
| African cuisine combines traditional fruits and vegetables, exotic game and fish from the oceans that surrounds her. Its impossible to categorize "African food" just as it would be impossible to state the cuisine of any continent by one name. However the prime characteristic of native African meals is the use of starch as a focus. This is accompanied by stew containing meat or vegetables, or both. |

| Mediterranean |
| Moroccan, Egyptian, Lebanese, Mediterranean and North African cuisines. Weekend specials board in addition to a la carte menu. |
