| American cuisine encompasses inspirations from many distant lands. This is indicative of America's true melting pot heritage. This cuisine is notable for its use of corn as a staple of baking, it coats chicken and fish, it is made into soups and beef can be barbequed beef and dairy cattle, wheat and potatoes are raised. |

| Cuban |
| Cuban cuisine has been influenced by Spanish, French, African, Arabic, Chinese, and Portuguese cultures. Most Cuban cooking relies on a few basic spices, such as garlic, cumin, oregano, and bay laurel leaves. Many dishes use a sofrito to give food its flavour. The sofrito consists of onion, green pepper, garlic, oregano, and ground pepper quick-fried in olive oil. Meats and poultry are usually marinated in citrus juices, such as lime or sour orange juices, and then roasted over low heat until the meat is tender and literally falling off the bone. |

| The Mexican table is filled with an assortment of foodstuffs. Sauces, soups and stews are common and expected, Mexican cuisine is known for its extensive flavors, colorful decoration, and the variety of spices that it has. Corn, chillies, beans, rice and beef will form majority of the menu. The food tends to be very colorful because of the rich variety of vegetables (among them red peppers, green peppers, chiles, broccoli, cauliflower, and radishes) and meats used in Mexian food. Try the famous quesadilla, (a corn-based tortilla with cheese that has beef, chicken, and/or pork.) |
