| This long established central Richmond restaurant has deservedly developed an exceptional reputation for the quality of its food, the standard of service and the warmth of its welcome. When the manager/proprietor opened the restaurant it was the first Thai restaurant to come to Richmond and his insistence on creating new recipes and dishes, all based on genuinely traditional family Thai recipes, has ensured that even the regular diners never grow tired of the menu since he regularly incorporates new and exciting dishes. The owner has made a study of the beneficial effects of the various Oriental spices and this in-depth knowledge ensures that the flavours of each dish are finely balanced to give the diner an introduction to the true flavours of Thai food. |
| The finely balanced menu offers a selection of cuisines and foods to suit most diners with an attractive selection of seafoods, an extensive vegetarian range, the famous Thai curries and delicious noodles. The wine list reflects the owner’s insistence on affordable quality. |
| | The ambience within the Thai Elephant is extremely relaxed and welcoming and is a perfect venue for not just a quality meal but for that family or business occasion and is a perfect party venue. “The finest Thai cuisine at affordable prices”.

Cuisine |
| Chinese |
| Chinese food has high request in color, aroma, and flavor. Most of the food is cooked in scallion, fresh ginger, garlic, and chili pepper all of which contribute to the mouthwatering Aroma. Soy sauce and sugar, vinegar and other seasonings are used to add richness to the course without covering up the natural flavor of the ingredients. Expect rich, strong flavours. |
| Indian |
| The Indian cuisine is as diverse as its culture, languages and regions The staples of Indian cuisine are rice, atta (a special type of whole-wheat flour) and at least five dozen varieties of pulses. The subtle blend of particular spices such as Coriander, Cumin, Fenugreek, Asafoetida etc., give Indian food its distinct flavor. |
