| Right in the centre of Twickenham is this imaginatively decorated new food venue, featuring oak-panelled walls, French chateau furniture and hand-made tables from old railway sleepers. The thoughtfully prepared and reasonably priced menu offers a mouth-watering selection of dishes complemented by a perfectly balanced wine list. The lunch-time selection is some of the best value to be had around at £7.95 for two courses. Call in to the comfortably appointed downstairs bar for simply a drink or a light meal served throughout the day (noon-5pm). |

Cuisine |
|
| English |
| Sunday roast is perhaps the biggest culinary indication of traditional english cuisine. It begins with a Yorkshire pudding (either as a first course or as part of the main meal), followed by a joint of meat and assorted vegetables. The commonest joints are beef, lamb or pork; chicken is also popular. The British have many original home-made desserts such as rhubarb crumble, bread and butter pudding, spotted dick and trifle. |
